Just read the paragraph below on Trip Advisor:

"Petunias closed last month and sold their menu to Oceana on Conti just in from Bourbon St. Oceana also hired the cook and some of the waitstaff from Petunia. Oceana now serves the complete Petunia Breakfast from 8 AM til 1 PM"
Oceana also doubled its size by taking down a wall and taking over the spot previously called New Orleans Cookery...this also opened up a courtyard for them

Breakfast looks good, though a bit pricey.

My thoughts exactly, swag. But in the same price range as elizabeth's, yes?

I don't see the banana foster crepes.....those were so good.....the portion was so large that my friend and I shared them w another table. It is expensive, can't remember what the original Petunia's prices were.

Having never been to Petunia's or Oceana, I can't speak to the relative value received there. But as for Elizabeth's, imo if anything it is under-priced in terms of the value of the quality and quantity you get. I believe that the eggs florentine with oysters was around $14, and you get eight nice oysters, two eggs, creamed spinach and roasted potato home fries. You could easily expect to pay up to $20 for an entree of similar quality and quantity. Same with the crab cakes and eggs ("crabby eggs"). I think Elizabeth's is a pretty good food value, especially considering that you'll probably be full enough that you won't need to eat again until dinner (assuming, of course, that you add a side of praline bacon and grits/grillades or something else).

Comparing original Petunia's to Elizabeth's - I prefer Elizabeth's.
Absolutely agree that you leave so full you cannot eat till dinner.
